چکیده

We introduce a new domain wall operator that represents a full (real) Möbius transformation of a given non-chiral Dirac kernel. Shamir's and Boriçi's domain wall fermions are special cases of this new class. By tuning the parameters of the Möbius operator and by introducing a new Red/Black preconditioning, we are able to reduce the computational effort substantially.

We perform an investigation of the static quark-quark-potential both in the confined and the de-confined phase. We discuss conceptual and technical problems and present first results of an exploratory numerical investigation. c Copyright owned by the author(s) under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike Licence.

We discuss the adaptation of the Hybrid Monte Carlo algorithm to overlap fermions. We derive a method which can be used to account for the delta function in the fermionic force caused by the differential of the sign function. We discuss the algoritmic difficulties that have been overcome, and mention those that still need to be solved.
